RAM Usage and Requirement for WordPress

Hello friends,
Nowadays I’m fighting with the memory usage of WordPress. Generally, I choose NGINX for my WordPress websites. But got shocked while I checked a website with low traffic (approx. 10 visitors/day) is using 74%+ memory :open_mouth:. That site is configured in Ubuntu 16.04 + LEMP and WordPress (additionally, WP Super Cache) in DigitalOcean $10 droplet.

How much RAM is required to run simple WordPress website?

Look at below screenshot - It will say you story!

I need expert advice to handle this issue.

Thank you!

Are you 100% sure caching is working on the front-end? I believe Nginx requires some additions to the server block to function properly.

Also, WP Super Cache doesn’t cache the backend. Do you (and possibly, other logged in users) click around the admin area a lot?

If you’re not familiar with this sort of stuff, you might want to look into Easy Engine which helps pre-configure all the stuff you would need to efficiently run WordPress and Super Cache on a VPS (what Digital Ocean refers to as a “droplet”): https://easyengine.io/wordpress-nginx/tutorials/single-site/wp-super-cache/

Yes, I have seen that website before (never tested) but listened from users “No Support & lots of errors”. If you have any alternate solution then it could help me a lot!

Thank you!

a happy easyengine user here. alternatively, try https://serverpilot.io/, as it’s also well optimized. https://vestacp.com/ is the another player in the arena. wordpress install is not automated though
